•  You are in control at all times, so you can't be "made to" do or say anything that you don't want to, or that goes against your values (so you won't reveal any deep dark secrets);


  • You cannot get "stuck" in hypnosis;


  • You are not asleep while in hypnosis, though when you emerge, it may feel as though you've just had a wonderful rest (some say it even feels like having a massage, only without the physical contact)


  • With very few exceptions, most people can be hypnotized.  The exceptions include those with very low I.Q.s, some psychotics, and those on certain medications;


  • Being "hypnotizable" does not mean that you're somehow "weak".  On the contrary, those who have a high capacity for hypnosis usually see positive results quite quickly.
